Friends of the Falconer Museum and Forres Heritage Trust are pleased to jointly present a fascinating evening talk about the recent community archaeology project which took place on Cluny Hill, Forres. The talk will be held in Forres Tolbooth and tickets will be available for purchase at the Falconer Museum from Tuesday 17th October until 31st October.  There will also be a small number of tickets available at the door on the night of the talk.  Refreshments will be provided. Join us for another fascinating insight into local excavation work - Leanne Demay and David Anderson will provide an illustrated talk on Tuesday 5th December at 2pm in the Falconer Museum, Forres on the excavations at Dandaleith in 2014.  The excavation took place near the find spot of the Dandaleith Pictish stone which is now on display in Elgin Museum. Join us for a beautifully illustrated talk by Charlie Phillips on our resident population of Bottlenose dolphins, one of the best known and most loved of all dolphin species.  The waters of the Moray Firth are home to the UK’s only resident population, many of whom have been identified as individuals through decades of research and observation.
